Jojo is standing in a door way of a room

Walls are marbled purple and white, plaques on the walls with large drawers pulled out

There is a calm solemn presence in the room

It seems to be a mausoleum

The plaques are nameplates, goodbyes

There is one indentation thats missing something Most have offerings with inscriptions of dedication to the Raven Queen

My Driftglobe floats in to light the room

Jojo enacts his Divine Sense He doesnt sense anything of import

He looks at the one indentation that doesnt have anything in it

The nearest name plaque reads Lieva Cherdi Doesnt ring a bell

There are 7 plaques in total Some of the names: Aira Zarvush Tamnaeth Gilrel Lhoris Thallan

Thrynn flies to an empty spot

Two nameplates near them Del'ryn Hatai Death date on it: Wralin 13 621 AT

Shai Paren has the other spot It seems that all her bones are accounted for, but her hand bones are curled in a way that would have been holding the hilt of a sword

Jojo detects a magic item in a vase A small circular item with a chain attached to it

An obsidian disk thing on a chain, like a necklace almost.

Ewron checks out the vase, its elven in make, it doesnt have any words, but there is an etching on it of a battle scene in which there is a very large, tall black etching of some muscular figure with a big spear and a battalion of much smaller armored individuals facing off against this person. He can tell the age of this would predate the new age, old or before totality. He takes it.

Aiylah speaks to her sword, to Shai Paren She asks who these other people in here

She asks for her to keep a secret "I said I was once a god, more specifically I was once the Raven Queen Del'ryn Hatai ascended in my place and became her as well" Del'ryn Hatai is her no longer, it is someone else. When you are her you are just her. There were at least 3 ascensions.

Aiylah tells us these people were like monks that served the Raven Queen

There is another door we havent gone through

It leads to a hallway with a door at the end of it

The door wasnt trapped, but the hallway is trapped High up on the walls there are small circular drains/vents along the ceiling

They arent sure how it engages, it looks different than the other hallway though

There doesnt seem to be any residual poison in the hallway

Aiylah says the sword said it leads to the birthing chamber

We trigger a poison trap, it freaks Eofos out a bit as hes stuck in it but the poison cant hurt him with his necklace

We rush out of this space, back up the stairs and close all the doors to keep all the gas in.

We walk outside and see the flowers but we just rush past them to leave the Crowcairn Monastery

We decide to take a short rest.

Ewron has a 'curator' that he asks some questions about Lady Shandria He doesnt get much info, other than that she is a Fey

Jojo remembers a village that would be a good shortcut, but he doesnt really remember the way exactly.

Jojo starts leading the way from the Crowcairn Monastery to try to find this town

We get about half a day in, and he is thinking we are definitely not in the right place.

Aiylah sends Thrynn in the air to try to get some bearings

She sees a valley and a thicker forest that looks kinda hazy in a way the rest of the valley doesnt look.

She reorients Jojo and we make out way

We make it around the valley by the end of the day.

We rest

We talk about Aiylah and what happened with her talks with the Raven Queen and Shai Paren

We talk about what it would take to remove Shai Paren from the sword

Eadith ponders the sword, she thinks that this is a relic of the gods, created by the gods for a specific individual, the most power objects on the face of Gamura That machine wasnt made to put that soul into that object, they did make it happen, but it wasnt its intended purpose She gets the idea that this sword is intended specifically for Aiylah Eadith lets her know this

We sleep for the night

Eadith saw travelling west ahead in the valley a group of night travelers.

We wake, it was a peaceful night

We set off, Jojo seems to be oriented better this morning with the help of Aiylah and Thrynn

We have found something of a path to Greenfast, the town we are headed towards

Jojo trots a bit ahead to scout within earshot

Around mid day, we move out of the valley and more into the woods.

We see a bit of a dilapidated structure, a temple On the backside of it a full cave in a stone, a hole in the ground

Jojo recognizes this place as where we all like died while Jojo was in the coma

We check it out quickly

We go into the main antechamber

The temple sits amid some gnarled scrub trees A half fallen stone tower A couple workers tents with some tools. The site seems maybe to be in reconstruction to fix the main tower The timber used to shore up the tower are years old, the tools are rusted, they have all been sitting out a couple years.

There is a large padlock chain that was broken and hanging awry

In the main antechamber there are stairs, two braziers burning with aquamarine life

A fountain at the far end of the space

Some passageways.

The fountain holds crystal clear water and there is a silver cup which has fallen off of the ledge.

Ewron looks for some tracks of anyone here, seems nothing very fresh

Eofos calls out hello!

We hear a garbled language spoken back to us

Within 10 feet of the door as Eofos cracks it open sees something that looks like a Beholder. Smaller than Renicore The Beholder with less eye stalks.

Eofos uses his universal speech to talk to it, introducing himself and asking its name

It just tells me to leave, that it has an understanding with the villagers nearby and that this is his space.

It shoots a warning magic firebolt out at Eadith

We retreat, Eofos respecting his position and announcing their departure.

Ewron seems a bit critical of Eofos and trusting him as a tricky Fay

He says his mother was named Albenes

Ewron seems to have perhaps stolen Fay artifacts away and maybe angered some Fay? Or he just believes he should study their artifacts to understand more about their culture.

We move away towards Greenfast village

We hear a commotion as we near

There are walking up to the entrance, we hear a shout and see these 5 individuals that look like amphibious bipedal creatures

We hear "Fargo grab an axe! Theres more of them!"

They are moving in to attack a woman in the road

We launch into initiative!

These creatures attacking are LARGE not medium

Eofos casts Slow on all of them

Jojo runs in and bashes one of them

Fuligo casts entangle on 2 of them

The woman who is being attacked actually has a sword and is defending herself

Young Fargo the young man running up to help immediately gets wrecked by one of these frog things The same thing happens to this woman, she dies :(

Eofos call out a healing word to Young Fargo and he gasps awake

Fuligo erupts the earth and kills one of mega frogs.

We kill them all!

The Red Slod are al dead!

As Young Fargo is coming to his senses again he sees the woman dead on the ground and he says "No! Mayor Kara!"
