Creating a new page is easy! For all pages there are a couple fields you have to fill out, usually the Name and Type. Most other fields are optional. You don't need to fill out all the fields, but it is helpful to fill out extra information if you can!
Many of these forms have fields with a set of default options to choose from. If you would like to change or add to these, just let David know. Having the naming standardized helps keep things organized and searchable!
Page Types
Character
For any player or non player character in the game.
Deity
A god or demigod of this world.
Region
A Region can be a broad continent, island, country, or significant sizable area of land. The important thing to keep in mind is that a region probably encompasses a significant area of the world and will possibly have other Regions, Locations, Settlements, and Structures associated with it.
Location
A Location is a smaller generic locality of importance. Think more like a pond, small-medium forest, district, town market, etc. The important distinguishing differences between a Region and a Location is the relative area, a Region can have a Location in it but a Location can't have a Region in it. A Location is meant to encompass all the areas that a Region is too broad to describe. A Location may have other Locations, Settlements, and Structures associated with it.
Please note the differences between a Location and a Settlement or Structure.
Settlement
A Settlement is any organized, settled place. This would be like a City, Town, Village, or Camp. A Settlement will have a number of things related to it, and probably a lot of Locations and Structures.
Structure
A Structure is a constructed thing, often man-made. This can be a number of things like Building, Fort, Palace, University, Stable, etc. See a list of all the possible structures here.
Faction
A Faction is meant to describe a non-governmental group of people. This includes Religions, Guilds, Cults, Adventuring Parties, and other groups.
Government
A Government is pretty self explanatory. Can be used to describe different kingdoms and other governing bodies.
Item
An Item is any magical or non-magical item in the world.
Session
For all your session notes! This should be automatically made from an existing session page, please don't create from a form.
