The oldest organized city in Wruitros began after the aftermath of The Totality settled. Though landlocked, it is located at a very central point on the continent of Wruitros, which made it favorable to oversee expansion. The formation of the city of Gadena was helmed by the Montfaults, a noble and auspicious family from before the end of The Totality.
It wasn't until 321 AT that Gadena became the capital of the Kingdom of Gadena. The Montfaults had been ousted from their tyrannical rule and the Virag family stepped in to lend aid to a struggling populace. The city flourished under their ideas. With the new rule, new people came to the city in droves and it expanded exponentially. The once dictatorship became a monarchical kingdom.
The city specifically, but the Kingdom as a whole, is rather lacking in magic due to the lack of arcane knowledge and power in the Virag line. Not being magic users themselves, they never thought it important and the only official source of magic is the Braediara Institute run by the Fane family who are left to their own devices to see to its oversight as they see fit. This allows the Fane family a fairly powerful seat at the right hand of the royal family. While in most other cities across Gimura, mage towers can be seen spiraling into the sky, Gadena, not because of it's tiered structure, lacks these in their skyline.
